Ah graduation: The capstone on years and years of study and toil. School is no joke—and neither are most school portraits (Well, except for these gems). For the most part, though, yearbook pictures and senior portraits never convey personality, let alone the sense of pure unadulterated elation that comes when you finally finish your degree. If you’re embarking on a graduation party photo booth, which you definitely should, here are some tips to keep in mind as you plan for the big event.

New research shows that party booths are more popular than DJ’s, and we have to say we’re not the least bit surprised. 

It’s no secret that having a photo booth at your party takes the fun factor up to 11. How often,in our daily lives, do we get to play dress up? Nowhere near enough! There is something magical about putting on a wig, headdress, or foam finger that just lets us escape ourselves and have a ball.

Dudes and Dudettes, guess what? Wedding Season is nearly upon us! And if you’re here reading this right now, it likely means you’re planning on having a Two Dudes photo booth at your wedding—or you’re at least considering it. 

We’ve got some suggestions about how can you get the utmost bang for your buck out of your Two Dudes photo booth experience!

Meet Ryan and Whitney...do ya see their signs? They made them. And I must have them! 

We recently realized was that our setup is capable of taking AMAZING headshots (well, duh), but people still want to have fun, because, well, our photo booth is built for fun. So, what can we do to make both possible?

Well, we came up with something we affectionately call "the Mullet".  

Who visited 11 cities in 16 days, pulling off more than 20 events showcasing Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 3? None other then the Two Dudes. It has been a whirlwind and we are just now coming back up to the surface (no pun intended) for a breath of fresh air. The last few weeks have been filled with blood, sweat and tears…err should I be honest and say traveling, eating and mingling with some of the nations leading innovators from Microsoft. Needless to say we feel very fortunate to be a part of Microsoft’s Futures tour, it has been a fabulous and exciting experience and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

I’m not going to lie - when we walked through the doors and entered the Grand Hall at the Flood Mansion in SF, I took a moment to myself and imagined I lived in this classic Italian Renaissance designed mansion with stunning views overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Thirty seconds later, I was back on the job sprinkling the dolphin sweat and unicorn tears on our photo booth to make sure we were fully charged with portrait magic.

This Sunday, the Two Dudes teamed up with Openhouse, a wonderful non-profit group in San Francisco which provides housing, services, and community programs for seniors in the LGBT community.

Wedding season is upon us and the photo booth is humming!

This weekend, we headed out to the swanky St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco to celebrate Paul & Nicole's nuptials in style. We introduced some of our latest and greatest props and the fantastic black Mod About You backdrop.

In no time, we had some beautiful ladies lining up to give us their best look, and then we were off!

In our first six months of business, we've completed almost 50 gigs...so far, we've had many minor setbacks which were easily resolved by brainstorming and/or punching computers, but we haven't had any nuclear disasters. This past Sunday was different. 

We finished up the weekend celebrating Michele's wedding at the absolutely beautiful Piedmont Community Hall. We were sooooo excited to be a part of Michele's big day; she holds the esteemed title of Two Dudes' VERY FIRST CUSTOMER! Michele was the genius who first caught on to the magic that is the Two Dudes' photo booth and hired us for the grand opening of the new span of the Bay Bridge when our business was still just days old.

The Oyster Point Dragons are at it again! If you don't recall, we worked a fundraiser event for them recently and this time, they put on an awesome Easter Egg Hunt in conjunction with the San Mateo County Harbor District, featuring dragon boat tours, a live helicopter display, a sighting from the Easter Bunny and, of course, the best photo booth in San Francisco.

Every so often, we talk to people who LOVE the beautiful photos we take with our open-air photo booth, but don't have room in their event budget to hire us. We do our best to be creative and flexible with our pricing so that we can accommodate people's budgets for different events, but sometimes it just doesn't work out and that's totally okay.  

Cathy & Jerry were married several weeks ago overseas, but they wanted to have a party for their friends at home in the Bay Area, and what a party it was! In fact, it was such a party that some of Cathy's friends from Australia made the quick 18-hour trip just to see what all the fuss was about! As most everyone knows, Australians are the life of any party, and they were no disappointment this time, providing our first naked photo booth pics, and making sure to set a new booth record before we closed down for the night!

We headed back to the South Bay again this weekend for Nick & Kailee's wedding at the Silicon Valley Capitol Club in San Jose and it was amazing!

Yesterday, we were back at beautiful Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery, this time running our photo booth for the California Dressage Society's annual Centerlines & Vines Fundraiser. It was a spectacular event with wine, food, and music...and needless to say, the horse masks were a big hit. 

Both of the dudes were born and raised in the East Bay, and we grew up going to see the incredible animals at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek. We even rescued an injured bird in the 4th grade and the museum nursed it back to health.

So when we had the chance to run our booth at their annual charity gala at the Roundhill Country Club in Alamo, we jumped at the chance! It was an incredibly fun night with an exciting live auction, photo ops with the wildlife, movers and shakers from all over the SF Bay Area, and of course, the best open air photo booth rental money can buy!
